Private Training Providers. Over 60 per cent of VET students in NSW study with a private college to gain an accredited qualification. Private colleges typically work very closely with employers and industry, to understand the ‘real world’ work-place skills they need employees to have. Being a long way from home, we want you to feel welcome in our community and that is why we are committed to making your experience in NSW the best it can be. Study NSW is a NSW Government initiative that aims to support and enrich your student experience. WORK EXPERIENCE AND INTERNSHIPS Co-operative education: This is a full-time year of paid industry learning that is taken as part of your third or fourth year of study. It earns you credit towards your degree. Holiday work: This usually takes place in the second to last year of your study and lasts around 12 weeks. Internships: Can be paid or unpaid. We encourage partnership applications from a consortium of providers and/or organisations to ensure benefits reach a broad range of international students. 2021 STUDY NSW EMPLOYABILITY PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL 18 hours ago · Study NSW has funded and curated this free Employability Program for international students. All in-person and virtual events are available to international students in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong. All virtual events are available to international students located outside of Sydney and Australia who are studying with a NSW education provider. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT WELFARE SERVICES HUB International Student Welfare Services Hub. This is a challenging time for everyone. We know that some international students are struggling to meet their living expenses. Given the global impact of COVID-19 many families and funding sources from students' home countries have also been impacted. We also know that some students may wish to NSW GOVERNMENT SUPPORTING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS THROUGH NSW Government hotline. International students are encouraged to call the NSW Government COVID-19 hotline (13 77 88) to receive free advice and information on medical, mental health, legal and emergency support. The hotline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For free help in your language, call Translating and Interpreting Services on13 14

Private Training Providers. Over 60 per cent of VET students in NSW study with a private college to gain an accredited qualification. Private colleges typically work very closely with employers and industry, to understand the ‘real world’ work-place skills they need employees to have. Being a long way from home, we want you to feel welcome in our community and that is why we are committed to making your experience in NSW the best it can be. Study NSW is a NSW Government initiative that aims to support and enrich your student experience. WORK EXPERIENCE AND INTERNSHIPS Co-operative education: This is a full-time year of paid industry learning that is taken as part of your third or fourth year of study. It earns you credit towards your degree. Holiday work: This usually takes place in the second to last year of your study and lasts around 12 weeks. Internships: Can be paid or unpaid.
