Happy almost-autumn, everyone! I used this month to really focus on writing, since that’s the area that’s the most behind. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make for a very interesting update because there’s no pictures, but I thought this would be a cool opportunity to talk about the writing process (and why it takes me so long tohandle story).
JULY DEV UPDATE
Halt’s update. I managed to draw 5 sprites this month, and it’s been fun to see the improvement for Halt. I think he’s one of the characters who’s benefited from the style change the most—the more defined and semi-realism look really suits him. LEAF'S STORY PATCH NOTES Leaf’s Story is now available for beta testers and beta-level backers! Huzzah! It’s ultimately about moving past the baggage and history that’s tied you down.JANUARY DEV UPDATE
Leaf’s Story. On the bright side, taking time to redraw the cast is also giving me more space to catch up on writing. And by “catch up on writing,” I sort of mean staring blankly at a sheet of paper, wondering why my characters don’t want to do what I tell them. The story of Halt’s route is completely planned out, with around 50% of the script written, so most of the current work is developing the visuals of the Lower.AUGUST DEV UPDATE
Happy almost-autumn, everyone! I used this month to really focus on writing, since that’s the area that’s the most behind. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make for a very interesting update because there’s no pictures, but I thought this would be a cool opportunity to talk about the writing process (and why it takes me so long tohandle story).
JULY DEV UPDATE
Halt’s update. I managed to draw 5 sprites this month, and it’s been fun to see the improvement for Halt. I think he’s one of the characters who’s benefited from the style change the most—the more defined and semi-realism look really suits him. SEPTEMBER DEV UPDATE The new CGs will show up in Halt’s route. Updated ones (like the first preview, which is his intro CG) will also be pushed in the sameupdate.
FEBRUARY DEV UPDATE
Art Previews. Since Valee is ahead on CGs, she’s been redrawing some of the old ones from Common! I have to say that while this is a lot of work, the result is absolutely beautiful—and most importantly, the experience now feels consistent between in-CG universe and out-of-CGuniverse.
JANUARY DEV UPDATE
Leaf’s Story. On the bright side, taking time to redraw the cast is also giving me more space to catch up on writing. And by “catch up on writing,” I sort of mean staring blankly at a sheet of paper, wondering why my characters don’t want to do what I tell them.ZODIAC AXIS
