PARISH HISTORY

On May 1, 1947, Father Leo Schafer was formally appointed as the first pastor for St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Parish. The School had opening ceremonies on September 12, 1948 and officially opened for classes on Tuesday, September 21, 1948. In September 1949, St. Mark opened a new convent as the new home of the parish sisters.

PASTORAL COUNCIL

The St. Mark Parish Pastoral Council shall be the instrument through which a representative body of the People of God, that is St. Mark Parish, in a relationship of shared responsibility with the Pastor, enables the parish to experience itself as a community of faith called to live, teach, proclaims and celebrates the Good News of Jesus

Christ.
