RESIDENTIAL TRIP
We started day two in fine form this morning with the girls beating the boys in a race to be at the breakfast table by 8am! 💪With our stomachs filled we boarded two buses to take us out to the Marble Arch Caves GeoPark.A half hour journey took us through the Fermanagh countryside to our destination.We were introduced to the history of the caves with a brilliant 20 minute short movie in theTHE WONDER GALLERY
The Wonder Gallery The Wonder Gallery is a new digital art exhibition space which inspires creativity in young people aged between 4 and 18. Every week, they are inviting budding artists to submit an electronic copy of a new piece of art they have created - it can be on paper with crayon, on canvas with paint, or digitally on a tablet or computer – whatever is on hand at home.AUTUMN TOPIC TRIP
Mrs Collins' class enjoyed a trip to Castle Ward today. This was a great trip to finish off their topic on Autumn. The children had the opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive outdoor activities. These included searching for mini beasts, learning about birds and habitats. HIP ANTI-BULLYING WORKSHOP Anti-Bullying Week Workshop This morning our P5/6/7 pupils joined forces with their counterparts in St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief to collaborate with HIP Psychology on an Anti-Bullying workshop. This was a brilliant undertaking for our pupils with the theme ‘Together Stronger’ permeating throughout it. All Play completed the installation of our new Active and Creative Play Equipment.We now have Amphitheatre Seating, a Creative Drawing Wall, Mushroom Seating and an Active Trim Trail. The trail includes a Balance Weaver, Burma Bridge, Link Balance Beam, Rock and Roll Log, Link Rope Walk, Swinging Logs, Linking Crossed Rope Walks CATHOLIC SCHOOL'S WEEK ASSEMBLY We held an assembly in school today to bring Catholic Schools Week to a finish. Father Peter led the ceremony and our pupils fully contributed in displays, readings, verse and songTHE WONDER GALLERY

This afternoon our school took part in a community clean up along the shore in conjunction with the Ulster Wildlife Trust. P7 pupil Lewis McClenaghan ventured to Castlebar, Mayo, at the weekend and returned home with a gold medal in the Savate na hÉireann Championship. The school are extremely proud of Lewis and his exploits in the kickboxing arena and we are looking forward to seeing him progress through the ranks in the future. Well done! The Wonder Gallery The Wonder Gallery is a new digital art exhibition space which inspires creativity in young people aged between 4 and 18. Mrs Collins' class enjoyed a trip to Castle Ward today. This was a great trip to finish off their topic on Autumn. The children had the opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive outdoor activities. These included searching for mini beasts, learning about birds and habitats. HIP ANTI-BULLYING WORKSHOP Anti-Bullying Week Workshop This morning our P5/6/7 pupils joined forces with their counterparts in St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief to collaborate with HIP Psychology on an Anti-Bullying workshop. This was a brilliant undertaking for our pupils with the theme ‘Together Stronger’ permeating throughout it. The workshop guided the children through many facets of bullying in an engaging and ACTIVE AND CREATIVE PLAY EQUIPMENT This week witnessed major redevelopment take place at our school. All Play completed the installation of our new Active and Creative Play Equipment.We now have Amphitheatre Seating, a Creative Drawing Wall, Mushroom Seating and an Active Trim Trail. We started day two in fine form this morning with the girls beating the boys in a race to be at the breakfast table by 8am! 💪With our stomachs filled we boarded two buses to take us out to the Marble Arch Caves GeoPark.A half hour journey took us through the Fermanagh countryside to our destination.We were introduced to the history of the caves with a brilliant 20 minute short movie in the COMHAIRLE AN IÚIR AGUS MHÚRN ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH SPEAK *** Comhairle an Iúir agus Mhúrn Environmental Youth Speak *** Well done to P7 pupil Caitlín Kearney who represented the school in our local council’s Environmental Youth Speak competition on Tuesday. P7 pupil Lewis McClenaghan ventured to Castlebar, Mayo, at the weekend and returned home with a gold medal in the Savate na hÉireann Championship. The school are extremely proud of Lewis and his exploits in the kickboxing arena and we are looking forward to seeing him progress through the ranks in the future. Well done! There will be an 8pm start.
