A NOTE FROM FR. PETE Well hello everyone, It’s Fr. Pete here in our limited office environment. Just a few updates for you and things to look for. As you may or may not know, I am technologically inept. Yesterday, for example, I tried to record the Mass on Facebook and it failed marvelously. As a matter of fact, it won’t even let me log back in because it thinks I am a security risk. But we will not give up. Here are a few goals we are shooting for: 1. Use the parish Facebook page to post the daily Mass at 12:30 PM. 2. Starting tomorrow, post the Stations of the Cross, starting with Station One and running for 14 days. This will not be one you have read before because it will be of my own making. 3. If I can use my own Facebook (once I am deemed a non-security risk), post morning and evening prayer. I know life is weird at the moment and trust me, it will remain that way for a while. It brings be back to the days when I was stationed with the Marines of 2/8 and all Christmas leave was canceled and next thing we know, we are on our way overseas to the sandy part of theworld.
This is a time of bonding and not of isolation. Just because we have been ordered to say apart does not mean that we cannot use the gifts of God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit- to draw closer via prayer and acts of charity and kindness. I pray for each and every one of you at my Daily Mass, said with you at heart, and all I ask is that you do the same for me. God’s Love and Peace to you all,Fr. Pete
