This BEST EYEPIECE FOR SATURN hey guys i have had my celestron explorascope 114 az for around 5 months and i have seen saturn and jupiter through my 3x barlow and 20mm eyepiece and it was a bit small to see. i recently bought a 2x barlow, a 6mm plossl eyepiece and a 15 mm kellner eyepiece along with some filters. i was wondering what would be the best for viewing saturn and jupiter (mainly saturn) if there are eyepieces CELESTRON GPS PROBLEMS Any Advise Welcome ( i have read through the forums of many sites with no real luck ) Ok i got a AVX mount a few months back and over xmas decided to buy myself the add on GPS (skysync), followed the instructions by turning on the GPS in my controller, ASTRONOMY DISCUSSION FORUM Heritage 150p - Stand ideas. By Tiny Clanger · Posted 6 minutes ago. I'm not sure if the 150 dob base is the same diameter as the 130 dob base, but if it is, I've read of many folk using the 130 heritage on an Ikea KYRRE Stool, they only cost £10. I made my heritage a 3 legged triangular table

CEM26 BACKLASH

Posted February 23. I got the CEM26 at the beginning of the month, the weather being what it is I've only had 1 evening with it. I noticed the guiding (especially in dec) was not great. I took a look at adjusting the backlash yesterday and noticed that both axis have terrible slop in the mesh, I tried adjusting it, but it seems to not

ASI 533 OFFSET SETTING Posted August 28, 2020. The default offset setting in the ASCOM driver is 70 which seems high to me and I plan to try going down to 50 or maybe as low as 20 but I will have to be careful not to clip the bottom of the histogram. Let us know how the 50 offset works. John.

MAY 21ST 2021 AR2824 , SMALL FLARE CAPTURED THROUGH CLOUDS May 21st 2021 Ar2824 , small flare captured through clouds. solar flares. By Kitsunegari, 2 hours ago in Imaging - Solar. REVIEW: HELIOS 20/40X100 QUANTUM 'OBSERVATION' BINOS My only grumble, or disappointment with the Helios 20/40x100 'Quantum 5' concerns the close focussing range. Advertised somewhere or other I saw as being 20 metres. That is nonsense, more like 50, which will prevent me using them for some daylight activities I had in mind. IDEAL FOCAL LENGTH TO GUIDE 0.2 x Guide Pixel Size (microns) x Imager Focal Length (mm) Divided by Imager Pixel Size (microns) In my case,: 0.2 x 3.75 x 1280. Divided by 4.7 = 204mm. I use a 200mm Telephoto Lens. Assumption is that PHD2 can measure Centroid to 0.2 of a pixel, a conservative assumption. This happens to be a ratio in arcsecs/pixel of 1.05 to 3.87. EQ8 USERS VIDEO

Hi, i have uploaded a video of an EQ8 dec axis being dismantled! The reason for dismantling it was that it suffered from excess Dec axis Backlash. I have been wanting to make a start in solar imaging for a while, and now have the opportunity to buy a new Lunt LS50THa B600PT . What imagery and views can I expect from this scope, or will I need to spend £££s to get something other than a white disc. Any example images would be great. Many tha EQMOD: "CONNECTION ERROR: PORT NOT AVAILABLE I selected each COM1, 2, 3, etc to 16 'OK' then hit connect and each time 'Connect Error: Port Not Available'. The NUC is a 10th Gen I-5 processor and the laptop an I-7.
