when coming up to and during a shed,one of my jungle jags,nearly always,whistles and makes a snuffely squeaking noise (for 1 to 3 weeks) this usually goes away after he's shed. i have read on forums people saying,their snakes skin,can make weird noises,in the days right before they shed. i would give it regular,thorough,health checks

WATERPROOFING WOODEN ENCLOSURES Epoxies will waterproof an enclosure. Urethanes will not. They will provide a degree of resistance to moisture, depending on what kind you use. These take much longer to set and air out enough to put a reptile in (several weeks for oilbased). DRY PEELING SKIN ON SNAKE Country: Re: Dry peeling skin on snake. You might want to consider giving your snake a nice warm (not too warm) bath for about 10 or 15 minutes. When you remove it from the warm water, keep a paper towel in your hand and let the snake crawl through the towel with you giving just enough pressure to let the snake slid through.

KINKING PROBLEM

Kinking can happen to any snake. It's most often a result of temperature fluctuations during incubation/gestation. I've seen some examples of it that are relatively minor (tip of the tail), and some that are horribly frightening (several kinks along the body) - it depends on how much the temperature did fluctuate during development.
