ISABELLA SINGSON: ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING In this model, I wanted to accentuate the artificial lighting being produced from inside the light well. My aim was to draw people to look into the building, even when the building is not being in use. ISABELLA SINGSON: INTERVAL PROJECT To give the MDF a finish quality, I used polish and stain to give the model a dark mahogony colour. ISABELLA SINGSON: VENTILATION The west facade and the light well has been designed to allow for cross ventilation to occur. Whilst I had designed for sun control and shading, any excess solar heat that gets trapped inside the building

will be drawn out.

ISABELLA SINGSON: SUN CONTROL The building facade consists of two external skins. The First and outer most protects the second skin from exposure to direct sunlight. For sun control, large vertical overhangs and fixed opaque louvres have been attached to the outer most skin. ISABELLA SINGSON: 9AM LIGHTING STUDIES The interior of the building, especially the stduios and workshops, are flooded with natural light throughout the entire day, from morning

to afternoon.
