COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On 12/28/2020 Sand Creek officers were dispatched to 3100 block of Mallard Dr. to the report of a stabbing with a machete. Upon arrival Officers had to render first aid by placing a tourniquet on the victim’s left arm who had been attacked with a machete and had a severe cut to his left wrist. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On April 29, 2021 members from the Colorado Springs Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Catalina Ct. Evidence located during the search led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Christopher Austin Sanchez (23) for charges related to the sexual exploitation of children. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On Saturday, February 27, 2021, around 3:53 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Communications Center was notified of a traffic crash in the 3500 block of South Chelton Loop. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On 02/04/2021 at 3:44 am, CSPD officers were dispatched to a report of a business robbery in the 2400 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue. Investigation revealed that a male suspect demanded cash from an employee of a business, and threatened the employee with a large rock. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On Saturday 01/30/2021, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Communications Center received a call regarding a traffic crash involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle in the area of Delaware Dr and Galley Rd. Officers contacted the involved vehicle, driver and pedestrian when they arrived. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On Monday March 29, 2021 at approximately 4:38 AM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to the area of the 800 block of N. Nevada for a COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On Friday, 05/14/2021 at approximately 1534 hours, officers with the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to a shooting. Upon arrival, it was determined a Gray Jeep and a black Saturn or Honda exchanged gun fire in the 400 block of N Circle Dr. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER A hit-and-run traffic crash was reported near I-25 and Bijou St. around 0506 hours this morning. A few minutes later, officers saw that same vehicle in front of the COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER On 02/02/2021 at approximately 8:43 pm officers responded to the Woodmen Rd overpass at N Academy Blvd for a three vehicle traffic crash. The investigation showed that a Cadillac sedan was westbound on Woodmen Rd and entered the intersection against a red light. COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT BLOTTER Update: As of 1201, CSPD is no longer on Accident Alert Status.
