Michael F. West died at age 40 on March 2nd, 1985 while on duty. In loving memory of our District Chief who died while fighting a 2 alarm blaze just outside of Old Town Spring. Mr. West is survived by his wife and family. Mr. West’s name is engraved on the 1985 plaque at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.PUBLIC EDUCATION

Michael F. West died at age 40 on March 2nd, 1985 while on duty. In loving memory of our District Chief who died while fighting a 2 alarm blaze just outside of Old Town Spring. Mr. West is survived by his wife and family. Mr. West’s name is engraved on the 1985 plaque at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.SMOKE ALARMS

SCOTT SEIFERT FIRE CHIEF Fire Chief. Scott Seifert’s interest in the Spring Fire Department began in 1985, but he could not be a volunteer then because he lived outside the district boundaries. TRAINING SHARPENS RESCUE TEAM SKILLS The Spring Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team spent the last two weeks sharpening their skills. SPRING FIRE DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES 2020 “LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE” Along with the hiring of new training division captains, the Spring Fire Department Training Division continues to move forward and build our personnel to even higher levels. THREE SPRING FIREFIGHTERS PROMOTED Monday evening, three Spring Firefighters were promoted to the prestigious position of Apparatus Operator.
