(active tab) Request new password. PEARSON 28 USED BOAT REVIEW P-28s were standardly-equipped with a fixed two blade propeller. This is plenty of power for this size boat under nearly all conditions. The layout of the Pearson 28 utilizes space well. There is a quarter berth cabin along the port side, a V-berth forward, and a U-shaped settee with a drop leaf table which forms a dinette forward in the saloon. THE BRISTOL 29.9 BOAT REVIEW The 8,650 lb. displacement of the 29.9 is considerably heavier, and sail area is less than average of competitive MORC boats of the time. I must admit that the 29.9 is not a boat I have sailed much other than an occasional sea trial. However, owners report a well mannered boat and general satisfaction with her speed and performance. CORNISH CRABBER 24 USED BOAT REVIEW The Cornish Crabber 24 has been sold for a number of years by Annapolis-based Britannia Boats Ltd.; although she is not as popular in this country as in Europe, and used boat prices here are typically considerably less. When they are available, these are very good values, and after all—life is too short to sail ugly boats. J/30 USED BOAT REVIEW J/30 Used Boat Review. In the late seventies opportunity knocked at boat builders’ doors. It was calling for an offshore one-design boat that would offer high performance at an affordable price. Most major manufacturers of the day heeded the call. C & C Yachts introduced the Mega 30. Tartan Marine offered the Tartan Ten. IRWIN 37 USED BOAT REVIEW Steering of the 37 is generally slow to respond and quite spongy due to the long routing of the steering cables. What the 37 lacks in construction detail and sailing performance she more than makes up at bedtime and at anchor. Large comfortable berths and spacious cabins make this a very comfortable boat dockside and at anchor. HYLAS 46 USED SAILBOAT REVIEW BY CAPT. TARN KELSEY Hylas 46, a Favorite To Survey and Perhaps To Own. Every so often when inspecting a used boat, I occasionally evaluate my current victim as to how it might possibly fit my needs and wants, past or present. While on a Hylas 46 recently, I was once again reminded of my affection for the center-cockpit 40- to 45-foot cutter rig. A FIVE-DAY SAILING CRUISE UP THE CHESAPEAKE BAY Leg 5: Sheephead Cove to Annapolis (10.5 nm) The last leg of this cruise is returning to home port from the Rhode River. With predominant southerly or southeasterly winds on the Bay, it will be a good sail back to Annapolis. This cruise itinerary can easily be condensed to four days if all you have is a Friday to Monday schedule. BENETEAU 40 USED SAILBOAT REVIEW SPINSHEET Beneteau 40: I can remember when a 40-foot boat was genuinely considered a big boat. Current industry standards now identify a 40-foot cruising boat a “mid-size cruiser.”. After reviewing Yacht World and Soldboats websites, the Beneteau 40 appears to have been in production from 2007 to 2012 and was produced in both two- andthree-cabin models.

Earlier in the month I had the opportunity to survey a 2008 Hunter 45 Deck Saloon (DS).
