Adopting during the Pandemic: During this time, we are closed to the general public, but are still processing adoptions over the phone and scheduling meetings by appointment. To begin the adoption process, you'll need to complete an adopter survey to be placed in the queue for an adoption specialist to call you back. ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT What to Expect: The majority of the adoption process will be done over the phone and via video. This way our team is able to manage a low-flow of traffic in and around the adoption center. When the adoption team receives an adoption survey via email, the adopters can expect to receive a call back within 48 hours. If the adoption team leaves a voicemail, the adopters will have 24 hours to - SPCA OF WAKE COUNTY The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit, animal-welfare organization that saves the lives of over 3,700 abused, abandoned, and neglected pets each year. We receive no government funding or tax dollars. We rely almost entirely on private donations to fund our annual operating budget of RECENTLY ADOPTED DOGS Recently Adopted Dogs. SPCA Wake works with a group of dedicated local veterinarians to provide lower cost spay/neuter surgery to pet owners who might not be able to afford the one-time cost of spay/neuter surgery. SAVING LIVES SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC Animals that are in-heat or pregnant $25-$65. Cryptorchid (undescended testicles) $20-$65. Hernia repair $15. Capstar flea pill $8. The Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Clinic is a program of the SPCA of Wake County, located beside the SPCA Pet Adoption Center at 300 PetfinderSURRENDERING A PET

Location: 4431 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27610 (Walmart #5292) Time: 9:00am to noon (or while supplies last) Microchips are $5 each. A microchip, collar, and engraved ID tag is $10. This purchase is a donation to the SPCA of Wake County and is non-refundable. All dogs must be wearing a collar/harness and leash; all cats must be in acarrier.
