FRED KUMMEROW
Dr. Fred Kummerow, was a biochemist and food scientist who worked in the field of nutrition for over 70 years. His major career focus was research into the impact of diet on heart disease. Dr Kummerow died on May 31st, 2017 at the age of 102. His book is titled " Cholesterol is Not the Culprit. A Guide to Preventing Heart Disease ". PERMANENT SIDE EFFECTS FROM STATINS Now, cognitive damage, emotional and behavioral change, neuropathies and even neuro-degenerative damage are increasingly recognized as associated with statin drug use. But there is something even more perverse - the element of permanence of some of these consequences. The pharmaceutical industry has been quick to add such conditions as CHOLESTEROL CONVERTER AND TRIGLYCERIDE Cholesterol Converter and Triglyceride Converter. Cholesterol values in the United States are expressed in mg / dL ( milligrams per deciliter ) and in Canada, the UK and Australia in mmol / L ( millimoles per litre.) STATINS AND CHRONIC MUSCLE WEAKNESS Lrp4 is a form of LDL cholesterol and as such is subject to the same depletion by statins as any other cholesterol, giving a possible explanation for loss of muscle strength. In the absence of Lrp4, no longer can the nerve stimulus connect to the muscle receptor. So this problem is due to failure at the neuromuscular junction.MY STATIN STORY

MY STATIN STORY
My Statin Story. When I first wrote of my personal side effects of Lipitor, my words were focused purely on transient global amnesia (TGA). This is because in 1999, shortly after this drug was started by my doctors at Johnson Space Center as part of my annual astronaut physical, this is what I experienced. A year later, they re-started meon

Generally we think of statin rhabdomyolysis as an acute, crisis reaction causing immediate hospitalization and aggressive therapy. Although I have long suspected a low-grade myopathy can be triggered by statin therapy and persist thereafter, this is the first rather dramatic evidence that this condition may notonly
NON STATIN CHOLESTEROL LOWERING DRUGS Bile Acid Sequestrants: Drugs like cholestyramine (Questran) or colestipol (Colestid) bind with bile acids in the intestines so that the acids are removed with the stool. Bile acids are made from cholesterol in the liver. Bile acid sequestrants interrupt this pathway, causing the bile acids to exit the body. This causes a lossof cholesterol as

Mike Hope is the former CEO, ravaged bystatin
PERMANENT SIDE EFFECTS FROM STATINS Now, cognitive damage, emotional and behavioral change, neuropathies and even neuro-degenerative damage are increasingly recognized as associated with statin drug use. But there is something even more perverse - the element of permanence of some of these consequences. The pharmaceutical industry has been quick to add such conditions as PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY FROM STATIN USE Neuropathy, short for peripheral neuropathy, simply means a malfunction of the peripheral nervous system that occurs without any inflammation of the nerves. There are many longstanding causes of neuropathy including diabetes, kidney problems and alcoholism. Being placed on statin drugs is another more recent cause of peripheralneuropathy.
THE DARK SIDE OF STATINS The full range of statin side effects goes far beyond cognitive dysfunction to include behavioral and emotional disorders, chronic nerve and muscle damage and an ALS-like neuromuscular degenerative process as major categories of damage. Thousands of statin users have been afflicted with peripheral neuropathies with a tendency to beresistant to
