It is a 1972 Speedway 440 Kohler FA and is owned by Alberta Relic Riders’ member Kelly Grant. Evidently Speedway Products, Inc. of Mansfield, Ohio produced the VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE SNOWMOBILE STORIES Old Sled Zone: 1970’s Ski-Doo Elite and Cutter. From the vaults we find a nice little Ski-Doo Elite, spotted at the Cranbrook Vintage Ride and Poker Run in February. OLD SLED ZONE: 1970'S SKI DOO 340 & The "Silver Bullet" as this particular model had come to be known as, came in a new 293cc engine, along with the 340 and 440. The "Silver Bullets" were a different color because they were promoted as the 15th Anniversary sled of Ski-Doo snowmobiles. The "little Ski-Doo's" were manufactured in 1958.
