Try this orange science experiment, which takes the usual sink or float experiment to the next level. “I SPY” SEARCH AND FIND Search and finds are a hit at our house. Recycled pie pans make great cymbals. Empty oatmeal containers are great drums. Put rocks into empty metal tea boxes are our rattles. Then have an adult do the rest – microwave the bar and plate for about 90 seconds (be careful – don’t let it get too hot). You and the kids will be amazed to watch it bubble and expand! Then have an adult do the rest – microwave the bar and plate for about 90 seconds (be careful – don’t let it get too hot). You and the kids will be amazed to watch it bubble and expand! Wait until the soap cools, and then touch the fluffy expanded soap. You can talk about the transformation, and FRUIT AND VEGETABLE I SPY GAME I Spy games are great quiet time activity. I use them when I’m getting meals ready, or if we’re going somewhere with a wait, like a restaurant or an appointment. ORANGE SCIENCE EXPERIMENT FOR KIDS Orange Science Experiment. Orange (or 2) bowl of water (clear bowls work best) Ask the kids what they think will happen when the orange is put in the water. Then let them drop the orange into the water. Next for predictions for what will happen when a peeled orange is put into the water. Let them peel the orange and put it into the water and DINOSAUR ACTIVITY FOR KIDS: MAKE DINOSAUR FOSSILS You only need 3 things to make dinosaur fossils: Grab a handful of playdough and press smooth it down into about 1/4-1/2 inch thick discs.
