Chris’s sculptural work consists of focused examinations of our concept of value. Drawing heavily on his training in mathematics, Chris seeks to form and reform an aesthetic topography through transformative experiences. The process employed in crafting each work combines abstract logic and BEGINNING AND CONTINUING HANDBUILDING/SURFACE DECORATION Description. Make festive and colorful dinnerware, flower vases, covered containers, and sculptural forms in this beginning and continuing handbuilding class. HOLIDAY SALE AUCTION Place Setting Auction Eric Newman, one of our long-term resident artists has organized a fundraiser for the studio. He encouraged collaborations between resident artists, board members and staff for 7 table place settings. Groups of 2 or 3 artists each made a place setting consisting of a plate, bowl, and cup. Decisions of what made PURCHASE EXTRA CLAY HERE. Purchase clay here. It is $20 for 25 lbs of clay. All clay is from Clay Art Center in Tacoma, unless otherwise noted.
