HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE To the constituents of the San Antonio River Authority: The health, safety, and well-being of our constituents and staff is of paramount importance. As such, the San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) has been closely monitoring updates and recommendations regarding the COVID-19 virus from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and the State ofTexas.
In accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and guidance, and informed by industry best practices, the River Authority began a process for returning to a larger physical presence at the office and in the field on May 4, 2020. River Authority staff will continue to provide uninterrupted essential services to the community, as we have done throughout the COVID-19 crisis, such as: maintaining service to wastewater treatment plants and supporting housing developments; project management and inspection of important public infrastructure construction projects; environmental investigations and critical-need water quality monitoring; operation and maintenance of parks and trails to support allowed outdoor activity with social distancing by citizens. We appreciate your trust, and we remain committed public servants with a duty and responsibility to provide essential services to the communities of the San Antonio River Basin. Please note, all visitors to a River Authority facility will be required to have their temperature taken by front desk personnel, excluding those who are simply dropping off items. Visitors with a temperature above 100.0 will be denied access. Additionally, visitors will also be required to wear a mask in the facility just as employees are required. Visitors who come to a River Authority facility without their own appropriate mask will be denied access. We will continue to monitor public health recommendations and make additional decisions and announcements as necessary. Please continue to follow us via our social media channels and visit our website for updates. If you need to contact the River Authority, please call (210) 227-1373 or toll free at (866) 345-7272.
