The Sami are not immigrants, having lived in their settled areas long before the borders were drawn for today’s nations. Demokratikalendern är en folkbildande och kunskapshöjande insats, som särskilt riktar sig till unga samer, men som vem som helst kan ta del av, utifrån det blandade innehållet i kalendern. Corona-pandemin sätter käppar i hjulet för fysiska möten men vi kompletterar mötena med en enkät.PRELIMINÄR RÖSTLÄNGD MED 875 NYA VÄLJARE Av 1 023 inkomna anmälningar har Sametingets valnämnd godkänt 875 stycken nya ansökningar och 148 ansökningar har avslagits. Den preliminära röstlängden kan överklagas.
KUOLJOK FÖRKLARAR: RISKEN ATT SMITTAS PÅ PLENUM ÄR LITEN De diskussioner och farhågor som uppstått på grund av att Sametinget aviserat att ett fysiskt plenum ska genomföras under vecka 48, föranleder Sametingets ordförande Paulus Kuoljok att ytterligare förklara hur presidiet resonerat och vilka åtgärder som vidtas för att minimera risken för smittspridning.
CORONA-SÄKRAT PLENUM I ARVIDSJAUR Det blir trots allt ett fysiskt plenum den 24-27 november 2020. Det är ett politiskt viktigt plenum eftersom Sametinget är mitt inne i budgetprocessen. Ett flertal åtgärder för att genomföra ett Corona-säkert plenum kommer att vidtas.
