FUN, HEALTHY AND COLOURFUL FAMILY FOOD IDEAS I think we all start the year with that urge to be healthier and make better food choices. Running in Lavender is an award nominated blog, which I started ( back in 2014) as a way of keeping my creative and digital mind active, after deciding to become a stay at home mum. Previous to this, I was the Digital Marketing Manager at Clarins UK, where I’d been working for over ten years. Running in Lavender is essentially a family OUR BEDROOM REDESIGN Our Bedroom Redesign. It’s almost been three years since we moved into this house and for various reasons including; budgets, prioritising the kids rooms and of course covid (to name a few) our bedroom redesign had to take a back seat. It made sense to do the other rooms first and leave our bedroom to last. So yes, I’ve hadplenty of time
THINGS I’VE LOVED LATELY The second is Hollywood Crime Scene, which is a similar US based podcast hosted by friends Rachel and Desi, which (as the name suggests) has more of a ‘tinsel town’ theme. Both podcasts are fun despite the often grim stories, and often have me laughing out loud at the most ridiculous things. If you’re interested in true crime orlove
MY WINTER CAPSULE WARDROBE FROM FAT FACE Fat Face recently approached me to create a capsule winter wardrobe using their latest collection. They asked me to choose a selection of winter must-haves that would see me through the season. After spending some time on their website, I started a list of my favourite items and winter essentials. This is what I came up with. FIVE WAYS TO FEEL BRIGHTER DURING THE DARK WINTER MONTHS Okay, I know the run up to Christmas is fun and full of glitz and excitement but it’s also easy to fall into a bit of a funk on dark days and cold nights, wanting to stay in and basically hibernate until spring. I know I feel like that most winters, I miss the heat of the sun on my face and the carefree feeling of not needing to wrap up warm to venture out of the house. Don’t get me wrong A BEDROOM DESIGN FOR GIRLS THAT'S NOT TOO GIRLY Our middle daughter, has a very strong mind when it comes to fashion and interiors, which I realise (as she’s only 7) sounds ridiculous! She loves watching interior design and home shows with me, and has always been very opinionated about what she will and will not wear. For example, I don’t think I’ve seen her wear a ‘disney princess’ costume since she was three! So when it came to 11/6 : FIVE THINGS I LOVE THIS WEEK Here are the five things I’ve loved this week. 1. It’s been my birthday! And true to form my husband walked into the house (on the big day) with a Colin the Caterpillar chocolate cake from M&S, knowing full well that it’s my all time favourite. Honestly, you can’t beat a Colin cake on your birthday, or any birthday for that matter. AFTERNOON TEA WITH THOMAS AT THE HILTON {MY CAPTURED Welcome back to My Captured Moment, a weekly link-up where I share my favourite ‘Captured Moments’ and invite you to do the same. On Monday the girls and I went for afternoon tea at the Waldorf Hilton with Thomas and Friends.RUNNING IN LAVENDER

A BEDROOM DESIGN FOR GIRLS THAT’S NOT TOO GIRLY Our middle daughter, has a very strong mind when it comes to fashion and interiors, which I realise (as she’s only 7) sounds ridiculous! She loves watching interior design and home shows with me, and has always been very opinionated about what she will and will not wear. For example, I don’t think I’ve seen her wear a ‘disney princess’ costume since she was three! So when it came to her bedroom, I knew she’d want to have her say in its design and theme. She instantly said that she didn’t want anything too ‘girly’ or pink. It had to be ‘cool’ and her preferred colours were black and white. Okay, I thought… this willbe interesting!
I started researching ‘girls bedroom ideas’ and ‘black and white bedroom ideas’ on Instagram and Pinterest and quickly found some great examples, which got the thumbs up. The rooms we liked the most had this dramatic dalmatian print wall paper, which I initially could not find anywhere (here in the UK) but then I came acrossMuralsWallpaper .
MuralsWallpaper offer a large choice of great design murals and wallpaper, which included this dalmatian print paper – that was exactly what we were looking for! As a brand they only use the highest quality paper to ensure a vivid print with great definition, and all their wallpapers and wall murals are made to measure, durable and are easy to install. Here’s the end result… I say ‘end result’ but as you can see, we still need to hang some pictures and get a rug but you know what I mean – the end result of the wallpaper. We’re thrilled with the result and can’t recommend this service enough. If you’re in the middle on room makeover and fancy something a little different you should definitely take a look at MuralsWallpaper .Fancy sharing?
