Photo One: We explored Gamla Stan (Old Town) and explored and took pictures. But it was very chilly and got very snowy. Photo Two: A nice overlook of Ostermalm on our way to the Vasa Museum. Photo Three: We were goofing around in the Diving Bell of the Vasa Museum. It is a museum about a ship that sunk in the Stockholm Harbor after sailing for only 20 minutes. SEPTEMBER 19: TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY This is the 10th anniversary of ‘Talk Like a Pirate Day’ and it was made more famous by a car commercial that aired this past summer. SunnyD, Tiger, and I made a video to commemorate this fun holiday. MAY 5: CINCO DE MAYO This is a Mexican celebration of freedom and to celebrate the victory at the Battle of the Puebla over the French. I ate a burrito from the new Moe’s in Waltham.JUNE 2: DRAWING DAY
Today was quite busy, but I found time to draw a quick picture beforeI went to sleep.
APRIL 22: EARTH DAY
Today I went to a leadership conference and they had roses in the centerpieces. In honor of Earth Day they had everyone take some roses and pass them on to people. SEPTEMBER 3: LABOR DAY Today was very busy and chaotic. I worked hard to recruit new players for Banshee and volunteers for Waltham Group at the activities fair. I appreciate the working masses and all of the various jobs and people that I usually take for granted. SWEDEN | THERE'S NO HOME LIKE STOCKHOLM! | PAGE 2 Photo of the Day: Instead of packing for Egypt, William decided to be a ghetto Santa. He is the coolest little Santa I have ever seen. Observation of the Day: Deodorant is difficult to find here and comes in a roll on bottle (ike the old bath and body works body glitter). Word of the Day: katten (cat) SEPTEMBER 5: NATIONAL BE LATE FOR SOMETHING DAY This is a Smith-Dewey specialty holiday. However I was mostly on time today. I was a little late to a Waltham Group Coordinator reception at President Fred Lawrence’s house. STRAIGHT OUT OF GOSSIP GIRL Photo of the Day: Ann, Audrey, and I worked the Nobel Nightcap. It is the after party for the Nobel Prize dinner and was held at Stockholm University this year. We ended up being stuck in the kitchen washing dishes most of the night and it was very stressful. JANUARY 20: NATIONAL CHEESE LOVERS DAY Today I made my first “real” meal in my kitchen (basically the first meal where I used the stove). To celebrate National Cheese Lovers Day I made a grilled cheese sandwich.UNCATEGORIZED

OCTOBER 26: BRANDEIS LOVE YOUR BODY DAY The Feminist Club on campus organized a “love your body day.” The idea is to promote accepting your body the way it is. They had picture taking stations, t-shirt making, and a letter writing campaign to discourage the sexist pop chips campaign right now. There were a million vendors with similar products and they all were shouting out at you vying for your attention and business.
