HOW TO MAKE AN APPEAL? To appeal a decision made in mediation or adjudication, applications can be made online. The cost for an appeal application on line is €85. To submit an application to appeal by post, the cost is €100. The completed form, along with the fee of €100, should be sent by post to the Residential Tenancies Board, PO Box 47, Clonakilty, County NOTICES OF TERMINATION Notice of Termination Return Form. Where a tenancy has lasted more than 6 months, a landlord serving a Notice of Termination must complete a Notice of Termination Return Form and attach a copy of the Notice in question. MINIMUM STANDARDS AND FIRE SAFETY FOR RENTED PROPERTIES IN Minimum Standards include: The property must be free from damp and in good structural repair. Hot and cold water must be available. All rooms must have adequate ventilation and heating, which tenant (s) can control. All appliances should be in good and safe working order. SECURITY DEPOSITS AND WHEN THEY CAN BE RETAINED A security deposit is a sum of money that is paid by a tenant to the landlord usually before a tenancy commences or on the date of commencement of the tenancy.
