Ben Folds Postponed - Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Recently, we announced that the May 8 performance by Ben Folds, a joint presentation between the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Eastman Presents, has been moved to December. Now, regrettably, Ben Folds has announced that he has ceased touring in 2020. KATHLEEN MURPHY KEMP Kathleen Murphy Kemp is Assistant Principal Cello of the RPO and has been a full time member of the cello section since 1977. Ben Folds Postponed - Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Recently, we announced that the May 8 performance by Ben Folds, a joint presentation between the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Eastman Presents, has been moved to December. Now, regrettably, Ben Folds has announced that he has ceased touring in 2020. KATHLEEN MURPHY KEMP Kathleen Murphy Kemp is Assistant Principal Cello of the RPO and has been a full time member of the cello section since 1977. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, she earned a bachelor of music and a master’s degree in performance and literature as well as the performer’s certificate. The programs are designed to engage audiences with light classics and familiar favorites.
