Georgia State University Crew began in 1989 with a small group of students and only two four-person boats (Morning Wood and Captain Morgan).The team was student-coached and student-run until the fall of 1994 when Charles Huthmaker took over as Head Coach. Coach Huthmaker brought with him experience and leadership that the team had needed atthe coaching level.

Rowing Club at Georgia State University HEAD OF THE SOUTH 2016 For the final regatta of the season, the Gsu crew stayed in Georgia to compete on the Savannah River in Augusta. Initially entered were four boats, a Men's Club 4+, a Mixed 8+, Women's Club 1x, and a Mixed 4+. FALL 2018 - ROWSTEADYSTATE.COM Rowing Club at Georgia State University CHATTANOOGA HEAD RACE 2017 It was the first regatta of the fall season and the team was excited. For the some of the novice rowers, it was their first ever regatta. The day of the race was exceptionally foggy and CHATTANOOGA HEAD RACE 2016 On October 8th, 2016 Gsu crew woke up early to make the trek to Chattanooga for the annual Chattanooga Head Race. Entered to race that day was a Men's Varsity 4+, Women's Championship 1x, Mixed 8+, and twoMixed Master 4+'s.
