The Rosamond Gifford Zoo’s popular summer event, Brew at the Zoo, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with new brews, new food options, live entertainment and a COPPERBAND BUTTERFLYFISH Copperband Butterflyfish can be recognized by their four yellow-orange vertical bands that are edged in black. At the back of the dorsal fin there is a false eyespot that is used to confuse predators. ORANGE BANDED PIPEFISH The Orange-banded pipefish has alternating reddish-brown and yellow bands and a red caudal fin with a large central yellow spot. Their elongated snout has a LESSER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE The Lesser White-Fronted Goose is the smallest species in the Anser genus. Their gray-brown bodies are around 53-66 cm long (21”-26”) with black patches on their bellies. TANZANIAN WHIP SCORPION The Tanzanian whip scorpion’s body is flat and spider-like with six segmented walking legs, two long front legs, and no tail. Coloring varies from mottled brown, black or cream. UPSIDE-DOWN JELLYFISH Upside-down jellyfish are usually found on the floor of their habitat. They can swim using contractions of their bell to move through the water, although they are rarely seen doing this.
