GRETA SCHÖDL: MARBLES Part of Saltoun Online, this virtual presentation brings together 92-year-old Greta SCHÖDL’s new and never-before-seen series of marble works made during lockdown in Bologna, her hometown since 1959. SU RICHARDSON
A pioneer of British Feminist Art and a key participant in the Postal Art Event in Britain in the mid-1970s, Su RICHARDSON played a prominent role in revalidating craft as a fine art form and its potential as a means of disrupting the white cube aesthetic. This online exhibition presents key works by Richardson from the 1970s alongside new works created for the show. WORKS - JO SPENCE: THE FINAL PROJECT 'Jo Spence: The Final Project' is an exhibition of the work of British photographer Jo SPENCE produced in the last two years of her life before her death from leukaemia in 1992. Curated by David Campany, the show coincides with the BP Spotlight display of Spence's work at Tate. WORKS - NICHOLAS POPE Nicholas Pope's exhibition, his first in London since 2003, features sculpture in all the materials the artist has used: chalk, marble, wood, fabric and porcelain. A 12-month programme to support female artists From March 2019, Richard Saltoun Gallery is dedicating 100% of its programme to women. This 12-month programme is part of the gallery’s long-standing commitment to supporting under-recognised and under-represented female artists and aims to redress the persistent gender imbalance in the commercial art world. 100% Women pursues its mission through a combination of gallery exhibitions, art fair presentations, artist talks, external collaborations and digital exhibitions hosted on its new online platform – all of which will feature artists represented by the gallery, as well as emerging artists and artists without direct representation to achieve greater inclusivity.
