Through telling his story, the Fee family has reached millions of Americans to educate them on the dangers of overprescription. MEDIA - RICHARD FEE FOUNDATION New York Times reporter Alan Schwarz wrote an article in 2013 (linked below) which was an in-depth feature on Richard’s story and exposed many of the flaws in the medical system.. After three years of research and gathering more stories like Richard’s, Alan released a book called A.D.H.D Nation in 2016. This book discusses the struggles with overprescription and addiction to Adderall. There are plenty of articles, books and TV shows that document what happened to Richard when he was improperly diagnosed for ADHD and given a prescription for Adderall that he would eventually become addicted to and abuse.SCHOLARSHIPS

MISSION STATEMENT
The Richard Scott Fee Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising awareness to the often misdiagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the over prescribing of potentially dangerous narcotic medication to our nations youth. Our goal – by speaking at events on school campuses and sharing Richard’s story – is to give students, parents, school faculty and even medical professionals vital information that will help them to make more informed decisions regarding their care and positivelyaffect their lives.
