RDRNYC IS A 501C3, VOLUNTEER & FOSTER BASED RESCUE. > “Save a life by adopting instead of shopping” RESCUE DOGS ROCK IS A NOT FOR PROFIT ANIMAL RESCUE FOUNDED IN 2015. WE EXIST SOLELY ON DONATIONS AND RELY PRIMARILY ON FUNDRAISING TO HELP

SINCE ITS INCEPTION, RESCUE DOGS ROCK NYC HAS SAVED OVER 4,500 DOGS. OUR GOAL IS TO SAVE ABUSED & AT RISK DOGS FROM KILL SHELTERS & PROVIDE VETTING & LOVING HOMES. We want to introduce these animals to the public and educate people that unwanted companion animals are not damaged goods or unworthy, but really can be great family pets. Because the abuse, neglect, cruelty and medical cases cost shelters the most money and are the most urgent, they are often the first animals euthanized. It is our goal to focus on the rescue of these urgent animals and provide them immediately the routine, emergency or specialized medical care they need and deserve. We will go beyond just vet care and get these animals rehabilitated as needed using trainers and behaviorists to help overcome issues related to past trauma. OUR OUTREACH AND EDUCATION EFFORTS WILL TAKE PLACE ON OUR WEBSITE, Facebook , Twitter , Instagram, AS WELL AS IN PERSON IN THE COMMUNITY VIA COMMUNITY EVENTS, SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES AND ANY PLACE PEOPLE MAY LAWFULLY GATHER TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION AND LEARN. _Our message is one teaching general animal care and welfare, population control through spay and neuter and disease control in the animal population via proper vaccinations._

SHELLY

Shelly is a beautiful pittie, was rescued from Manhattan ACC where she had been brought in as a stray. She had broken teeth and was emaciated at only 24 pounds!! Shelly is good with people of all ages and with other dogs. She was born in early 2015, is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Her foster mom has been taking such good care of her and she has put on some much needed weight and is back to healthy and happy! Despite her obvious neglect, Shelly remains a very sweet and loving girl, and we can’t wait until she has a home to call her very own. Please put your application in here if you are interested in adopting Shelly: fill out an application here

ANNIE

Annie is a 5 was found on someone’s porch, pregnant and starving. She stayed for a couple of weeks, until she got into the neighbor’s dog food, and the neighbor threatened to take matters into his own hands. A Good Samaritan intervened and Annie became a member of the Rescue Dogs Rock NYC family. Annie is fantastic with kids and other people but she is not a fan of cats or other small animals. She’s very affectionate, house-trained, and loves to be with her people! She is a 70 pound hunk of love. She loves long walks, car rides and you can’t go into your freezer without giving her an ice cube!! If you think you can give Annie the home she deserves please fill out an application

CHLOE

Chloe (formerly Jocelyn) is our beautiful 2-year old lab mix who suffered a traumatic brain injury during her first few weeks of life. We’ve gone to great lengths for her and we hope you are willing to too! She is up to date on her shots, micro-chipped and spayed. Her sense of sight and smell are compromised and her hearing enhanced. Chloe is loving and fun, but preferably needs a home with retired or stay-at-homes, experienced with traumatic brain injuries or special education would be great. Chloe has meal time frustration anxiety and prefers eating alone, knowing her morsels are hers alone. A home where she can her settle in before introductions to other pets would be great, but she may do best in a home without other dogs… cats are okay. A home with a fenced yard would be best. Chloe LOVES to run…free like the wind. A home where a potty accident can be cleaned up and she can continue to learn that potty time outdoors reaps treats and indoors doesn’t! We have faith she CAN do this, so should you!! A home where anti-seizure medications are lovingly administered and seizures patiently guided through. As much as she needs all this and more WE need this too because though none of us fit the criteria, we all love her. If you would like to adopt Chloe, please fill out an application
