COLLECTIONS
The REME Museum cares for just over 130,000 items. The collections are a fascinating and eclectic mix that focuses on the REME story, but also tells us much about the British Army in the 20th and 21st centuries. Our collection includes specialist recovery vehicles, medals awarded to REME soldiers, an extensive weapons collection, uniforms, models, trade test pieces and radios. OBJECTS | REME MUSEUM Objects associated with REME mess life, sport and ceremony open up a hidden world to civilian visitors. Some objects are personal. We look after medals awarded to REME personnel, trade test pieces made at the Army Apprentice Colleges and mementos saved from operations and exercises. Whether objects belonged to a Craftsman or a Brigadier theySHOP | REME MUSEUM

WHEREVER THE BRITISH ARMY ARE, WHATEVER THE UNIT IS, THERE YOU WILLFIND REME
The REME Museum preserves the heritage of the Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Formed in 1942 to meet the demands of World War Two, REME exists “to keep the punch in the Army’s fist” – Montgomery of El-Alamein. They keep the army moving forward in all conditions. That proud heritage is revealed in their museum. With seven galleries to explore and many interactives to keep you busy, there is lots tosee and do.
