Highly recommend. 4 Stars - I really WHERE DREAMS DESCEND Overall, this book was a magical experience that sparked but didn’t catch fire.It is long and you have to be patient with the slow burn, but I think that it was pretty entertaining overall. I’m sure big fans of The Phantom of the Opera and Moulin Rouge will find little Easter eggs and nuggets to enjoy. I, myself, found this book enjoyable

WHERE DREAMS DESCEND Overall, this book was a magical experience that sparked but didn’t catch fire.It is long and you have to be patient with the slow burn, but I think that it was pretty entertaining overall. I’m sure big fans of The Phantom of the Opera and Moulin Rouge will find little Easter eggs and nuggets to enjoy. I, myself, found this book enjoyable

but not astounding.

I’m sure big fans of The Phantom of the Opera and Moulin Rouge will find little Easter eggs and nuggets to enjoy. I, myself, found this book enjoyable

but not astounding.

Q: What is your greatest thrift store find? I will never forget the day I went to a used bookstore and found a signed first edition of The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall! You all know how much I adore this series and if you didn't know...well I ADORE THIS SERIES! These sisters make me smile, laugh, cry and so much more. I'll forever be grateful for my third grade teacher who handed me my original copy with a knowing smile saying I'd love this. Mr. M. If you're looking to get into a deeply emotional thriller, I have an inkling this could be it for you! Q: Do you have any musical talent? There is not a single musical bone in my body. Not a single one. I am what they call a shower singer and well that's um... You won't be seeing me on Got Talent ever. Now this is not to say I've never played an instrument before. I was a clarinet student in middle school, we have an old battered up organ that I used to play "Silent Night" on and I know like one guitar cord, don't ask me which one though. All this to say that when you read this wonderful and magical book about Nannerl, Mozart's equally talented and genius sister, you don't have to know the treble clef from the bass clef to fall utterly in love with this story. Marie Lu outdid herself with this story. I loved everything about it and I SOBBED. I LITERALLY CRIED. The sibling love. The desire for recognition. The escape into the imagination. Each one of these themes hit home and I was a mess by the end of it, but so so worth it!
