EXIF Tab. The "Metadata" tab lets you control which Exif metadata will be contained in the saved (developed) image file. The Exif metadata is usually created by the camera itself and implemented into the raw image file. Basic Exif information is directly visible. Extended Exif information and so-called makernote data is organized into a tree.

SAVING IMAGES

1Save Immediately. In the Editor tab, if you click on the little hard disk icon at the bottom-left of the preview image, or hit the ^ Ctrl + s shortcut, you can " Save immediately ". DCAMPROF - RAWTHERAPEE How DCamProf models cameras. DCamProf looks on the perfect camera as a colorimetric camera, that is the SSFs matches the color matching functions for the CIE XYZ color space.No real camera is colorimetric so the goal of profiling is to make it perform as close as possible to one (and then possibly apply a tone reproduction operator and custom subjective look on top).

GETTING STARTED

RawTherapee is a cross-platform raw image processing program, released under the GNU General Public License Version 3. It was originally written by Gábor Horváth of Budapest, and development was taken over in 2010 by a team of people from around the world. Rather than being a raster graphics editor such as Photoshop or GIMP or a digital asset

FILM NEGATIVE

Negatives are images with reversed lightness and hues, such as those produced by film cameras. RawTherapee 5.7 introduced the Film Negative tool to make developing raw photos of negatives simple. The tool supports raw photos of a Bayer or X-Trans sensor. Other raw types and non-raw formats are not supported.

LENS/GEOMETRY

1 Introduction. This tool comprises of several sub-tools which share common adjustment parameters. They allow you to fix errors and distortions which derive from imperfections in your camera gear, such as lens distortion and vignetting, as well as to improve issues deriving from the placement and adjustment of your camera, such as an uneven horizon or perspective distortion.

CAPTURE SHARPENING

1 What is it. The Capture Sharpening tool helps recover details lost due to in-camera blurring, which can be caused by diffraction, the anti-aliasing filter, or other sources of Gaussian-type blur.. It is applied to the raw file immediately after demosaicing and modifies the data in linear gamma to limit halo generation.

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

Action. File Browser, Editor. F5. Open resulting image in the default image viewer (must have been processed before). Uses current queue settings to determine output file path. The Film Simulation tool allows you to match the colors of a photo to a reference image with a single click. This tool requires the use of reference images in the HaldCLUT pattern, in either PNG or TIFF format. Each HaldCLUT image corresponds to one "look".
