RASHTRAPATI BHAVAN

Circuit 3 :- Open from August to March on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. *Above schedule is subject to change, as may be notified by Rashtrapati Bhavan. *The Circuits will remain close on EXPLORE RASHTRAPATI BHAVAN The Stables. Inaugurated on July 25, 2014 by President Pranab Mukherjee, Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex is an initiative to preserve, display and make available for public viewing the numerous gifts that Presidents of India have received over the years along with other important artifacts, textiles, photographs, archival material, arms, furniture and more.

THE CLOCK TOWER

The Clock Tower. Built in the year 1925 by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the Clock Tower is a heritage building. Originally known as the Band House, it was built for band practices of the British Army. The Clock Tower is located in Schedule B of the President’s Estate and is now the reception for the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex (RBMC).

JAIPUR COLUMN

Jaipur Column. The Jaipur Column stands at a height of one hundred and forty five feet on the Rashtrapati Bhavan Forecourt, at an approximate distance of five hundred and fifty five feet from the main gate. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and sponsored by Maharaja Madho Singh of Jaipur, the Jaipur Column was built to celebrate the transfer of the

RAMPURVA BULL

The Rampurva Bull is mounted on a pedestal between the central pillars at the Forecourt entrance of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Rampurva Bull is noted for its delicately sculpted model demonstrating superior representation of soft flesh, sensitive nostrils, alert ears and strong legs. It is a mixture of Indian and Persian elements.

BANQUET HALL

The Banquet Hall, also known as the State Dining Room, hosts a wealth of beautiful detail. This room which is 104 feet long, 34 feet wide and 35 feet high overlooks the Mughal Gardens on one side. Burmese teak paneling decorates the walls of the Banquet Hall while the floors are patterned in grey Kota stone and white Makrana marble. This page uses Javascript.
