RAN SAILING
Vera, Malin and Johan. An online match making site brought Johan and I together in 2014 and the idea of going long distance sailing was born pretty much right away. Johan had already made several sailing trips and even though I had never sailed, I loved the idea of going traveling with your home. Fast forward to 2019, 20 000 nautical miles,27
S/Y RAN – RAN SAILING S/Y RAN. Ran is a Beason 40 and was built in Karlstad, Sweden in 1987. She is a custom-built sloop and was designed by the Swedish naval architect Bernt Andersson, who also stands behind the other Beason models. The hull and superstructure are made of aluminium. The material was supplied by SAPA and is of marine quality to be extraresistant to
ABOUT – RAN SAILING During 2019 we decided to start looking for a bigger boat as our crew was growing. We settled on another Swedish built boat, a Najad 440 from 1988. HELLO!
We are Malin and Johan, a Swedish couple who wanted a different type of life. So we sold everything we owned to sail and travel the world. The adventure began in January 2016 when we untied the lines in Malmö. Ever since we left we have produced videos to share our travels and lifestyle on YouTube. In the end of 2019 we welcomed our daughter Vera and we bought a bigger boat to continue sailing as a family.
