Almost 4,000 volunteers took part in Operation Raleigh. In 1992, Operation Raleigh became Raleigh International, the global organisation we are today. Unfortunately, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel our Expeditions to Costa Rica and Nepal this summer (Cycle 2: June to September).. Working closely with the Global Technology & Data Protection Manager (GTDPM), you will work together to provide IT operational and administrative support for Raleigh International and its international country offices. “THE PANDEMIC’S NOT GOING AWAY. BUT OUR HEALTH AND PLANET Fernando, 30, from the Carazo region of western Nicaragua, understands the impact of climate change better than most. Brought up in the countryside and a graduate in agronomy, Fernando is using his knowledge of rural life to support 250 young people on Raleigh’s ‘Dame Chance’ (Give Me A Chance) campaign into green jobs. TRUSTEES AND GOVERNANCE Susie Rodgers MBE is a former Paralympic swimmer, who competed internationally for 5 years and won 30 international medals including Paralympic Gold and 5 Bronze medals at the Rio 2016 and London 2012 Paralympic Games. She specialised in the sprint butterfly and freestyle events and held numerous European and British records throughout her career. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IS IN ACHIEVING Sue – Empowerment. To achieve women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities at all levels the most important step is to believe we can. We know women face disproportionate barriers, but as 50% of the population, we should have the strength to advocate together and speak together with one voice.
