RABI is partnering with Kooth PLC to provide a new online mental wellbeing service for farming people. Kooth PLC specialises in creating online resources hubs to support positive mental wellbeing. In the last ten years, 388 farmers, their family members or farm workers have been killed on British farms and of these, 38 were inWales.
R.A.B.I GIVES £24K TO CUMBRIAN FARMERS To date, more than £970k has been given out in grants, with financial support given to 84 working farmers. In Cumbria, R.A.B.I has given out grants of £24,920.58 during 2015 (up to August 18). The nature of support has been varied, including the following: £4,860 in quarterly grants to regular beneficiaries. £855 towards telephone rental R.A.B.I APPOINTS NEW CEO R.A.B.I is delighted to announce the appointment of Alicia Chivers as its new chief executive. Alicia will take over from Paul Burrows in November 2018. A qualified chartered accountant from a farming family, Alicia is currently the CEO of the RAF Central Fund, a charity providing support to those serving in the RAF. The event was organised by East Yorkshire committee member Jenny Jenkinson, with the help of her parents John and EAST YORKSHIRE CHARITY TRACTOR RUN TAKES TO THE ROAD FOR East Yorkshire. Supporter fundraising. Tractor enthusiasts and members of East Riding YFC will once again join together on Sunday 5 June taking to the roads on a Charity Tractor Road Run to boost funds for R.A.B.I and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. R.A.B.I GIVES £24K TO CUMBRIAN FARMERS To date, more than £970k has been given out in grants, with financial support given to 84 working farmers. In Cumbria, R.A.B.I has given out grants of £24,920.58 during 2015 (up to August 18). The nature of support has been varied, including the following: £4,860 in quarterly grants to regular beneficiaries. £855 towards telephone rental FUNDRAISERS LEAD TOUR OF ASHFORD HALL FARM Fundraisers lead tour of Ashford Hall Farm. Around 60 supporters were taken on a tour of Ashford Hall Farm in Derbyshire, raising £785. Farm manager Stuart Fairfax led guests on the walk, showing them highlights such as the stunning barns, lake and boat house. Guests also admired the limosuin cows out in the fields. WELSH FARMERS URGED TO ATTEND FARM SAFETY AWARENESS Welsh farmers urged to attend farm safety awareness workshops. ‘Saving lives and livelihoods’ – Welsh farmers urged to attend farm safety awareness workshops to reduce the risks to life and limb. In the last ten years, 388 farmers, their family members or farm workers have been killed on British farms and of these, 38 were inWales.
