It is very picky about what thread you use on top. I have found that it likes Glide thread and I have less thread breakage with it. Less, but still sometimes a problem. ATTACHING NEW MACHINE TO OLD DROP IN SEWING TABLE-POSSIBLE Posts: 3,643. My mother, years ago, bought a new Singer that was computerized that she put in her old cabinet. Honestly, she had a lot of trouble with her new machine until she quit dropping it and just left it set up. Could be she handled it too roughly, but knowing my mom, I doubt it was due to mishandling by her. HOME MADE BASTING SPRAY??? Location: Keller, TX. Posts: 1,632. Just a note Roxanne's Glue Baste it is Elmer's type glue. I worked with a glue company who manufactures water based glues. They told me Rozannes is the same as Elmer's. They were very particular about the water quality where they were thinking of building a new plant. Elmer's is great to work, with. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE IN MACHINES? Posts: 451. I think the 6700 comes with more accessories and has a stronger motor. But the 6650 still has pop out plate, 9mm stitch width, variable needle positions, up/down needle, start-stop, wide 10" harp, mostly metal exterior, superior feed-system (vs accufeed on 6700) and more than enough decorative stitches. HOW TO AGE CLOTH TO FINISH ANTIQUE QUILT How to age cloth to finish antique quilt. I have received some 50 year old quilt piecing. Most of it is finished and ready to sew but a couple of the pieces need to be finished with white cloth. I found some cotton cloth that has the right weave and feel as the original cloth. However, I realized the older piecing has gotten slightlyyellow

I think if you measure what area the fabric covers (when not elasticized) and the area you want it to fit around (the elasticized area once complete) that should give you an approximate ratio (i.e. 20 inches of fabric to fit around 10 inches of corner = 50% compression) Reply. HOW TO SELL YOUR SISTER If they are unwilling to buy your sister, then you must opt for the last and final step. Step three is a last resort and should only be used in extremely hard to sell cases. You will need to ask your parents if there really are gypsies that buy children and not return them to their original owners. WHICH SINGER MACHINES WILL GO FROM PORTABLE TO CABINET Yes the Touch N Sews could go in a cabinet but it had to be a cabinet made for them, they mounted differently than machines mounted with hinges on the back. Most any of the older portable machines can be taken out of their base and put in a cabinet as long as the machine fits the cabinet opening and the hinge spacing is the same. Cari.*
