The QCWA Journal is published twelve times each year, and placed on the Members Only webpage during the first full week of each month. The deadlines for articles and reports is the first day of the preceding month. A typical Journal will be about 20 pages in length, with about 25 percent of the space devoted to Chapter Reports.

View a list of the Active Chapters or All Chapters. No Chapter has a designated "territory" -- some parts of the US have multiple Chapters; others may not yet have any. 'DICK' PHILSTROM My history in Electronics started early, I worked at Reine Radio and TV repair and other Electronic communication shops while attending Junior and Senior high school. NORMAN R. 'NORM' RASHLEIGH I've been a licenced amateur radio operator since 1963 at the age of 16. Although my main on-air call sign is VE3LC which I've held since 1990, I still hold my original call sign, VE3DVF. RICHARD C. 'DICK' SPENCELEY If you don't have a QSL from the U.S. Virgin Islands, it's not Dick's fault. He was providing QSOs from there for 55 years (1927-1982). Dick was born in West Newton, MA, on September 14, 1905, and lived here until 1924 when he joined the U.S. Navy. ROBERT A. 'BOB' SULLIVAN I enjoy restoration; especially Collins and Central Electronics. Here is some of the equipment I enjoy; For AM: Collins KW-1, 32V-2, 75A-4, 51J-4, HRO-500, CE 100V, CE 200V, CE 600L. ROBERT L. 'BOB' SHRADER Robert L. (Bob) Shrader, W6BNB, author of 10 QST articles, died April 11 at age 98. He was a long-time resident of Sebastopol, California. His most recent QST article was "Using Mechanical CW Keys" in the February 2010 issue.

DONALD L. STONER

The man who conceived of Project OSCAR, Don Stoner, W6TNS, of Clearwater, Florida died May 4, 1999. He was 67. Stoner reportedly had been in ill health for some time. CITRUS CHAPTER 45

Citrus Chapter #45 of the QCWA was originally the Central Florida Chapter, and was organized at the Orlando Amateur Radio Club HamCation in May 1969. Thirty one members were in attendance, and they were designated as Charter Members. In January 1970 the Chapter was officially listed by QCWA Headquarters and became a "banner" chapter. TIMOTHY J. Through his W1BB 160M Bulletins, which he circulated to others for free, he encouraged interest in the band for almost 60 years. MILTON F. 'DOUG' DE MAW Acclaimed ham radio icon Milton F. "Doug" DeMaw, W1FB, died September 28, 1997. He was 71. One of the most widely published technical writers in Amateur Radio, DeMaw was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year and had been in failing health in recent weeks. NORMAN R.
