COMMUNITY DAYS OF SERVICE Due to concerns around COVID-19, Project Homeless Connect has postponed all large-scale Community Day of Service events until further notice. We look forward to holding more of these one-stop-shop style events in the future, once we receive guidance from the San Francisco Department of Public Health that large indoor gatherings are a safe choice for the community. COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS PLAN At Project Homeless Connect, we take the health and wellbeing of participants, providers, volunteers, and staff very seriously. We know that people experiencing homelessness, people who are economically vulnerable, and those with chronic health conditions are at a greater risk of being impacted by COVID-19. Project Homeless Connect is committed to continuing to provide essential services to our participants, many of whom are members of these communities. Based on recommendations from the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), the Mayor’s Shelter in Place Ordinance (March 16) and advise from the medical community, we will be implementing the following COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Preparedness Plan for Project Homeless Connect to be implemented until further notice. PHC PLANS TO CONTINUE PROVIDING SERVICES THROUGH APPOINTMENTS, CURBSIDE PICK-UP, EMERGENCY FINANCIAL SUPPORT, AND VIRTUAL SUPPORT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. OUR SERVICE COORDINATOR ARE AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT PARTICIPANTS REMOTELY, AND WE WILL BE CONTINUING TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND RESOURCE INFORMATION TO PARTICIPANTS.
