And the marks are correct if the PDF is generated by Chrome > Print > Save as PDF. --DISALLOW-MODIFY AND ADOBE READER'S ERROR 21 We've got an issue where if we use --disallow-modify on a PDF, then Adobe Reader behaves a bit odd with it. The document opens fine, but when you go to save it elsewhere using "save as..", the document appears to start writing but then gets "The document could not besaved.

This might actually be useful, for another reason: I prepare a lot of documents for clients in two versions: with and without letterhead – the version with letterhead is printed on normal paper, and the version without gets printed on company stationery. AVOID IDENTITY-H ENCODING? The PDFs will be printed, and I was told that I should avoid Identity-H encoding because it can cause problems when printing. Since I need to avoid Identity-H encoding, it seems like I should use TrueType fonts if I end up using Prince to generate the PDFs. PDF PRODUCER META TAG Generator will specify the PDF /Creator, which is the name of the application that produced the original document, eg. the HTML or XMLdocument.
