FREE PICK UP AND DELIVERY: Community Care for Seniors is providing free grocery/pharmacy/essentials pick up and delivery for seniors 60+. We can also provide assistance with placing phone/email orders. If a senior calls the Food Depot but can’t get in to pick up the package themselves, they can contact Community Care to arrange for free delivery. Please provide two days notice. MEALS ON WHEELS are now available anywhere in Prince Edward County. The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association encourages seniors or their caregivers to call and make arrangements for delivery of _hot or frozen meals_. Due to the commitment of volunteers the hot meals go out Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in all locations using physically distant delivery procedures. To ensure the continuing operations of the ferry service, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has implemented new rules to comply with Government of Canada and Transport Canada restrictions: * All common areas are closed. This includes washrooms. * No walk-ons will be accepted for boarding. This is applicable to all foot traffic, bicycles, and motorcycles. * All passengers must remain in their vehicles. * All passengers are asked to undertake a health screening self-assessment, which will be comprised of answering four questions posted at the boarding entrance. * Any passenger showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will be denied boarding and directed to report to the appropriate medical facility to seek further guidance. * People who need to use the Glenora Ferry are being asked to wear non-medical masks to reduce the spread of COVID-19. PROVINCIAL PARKS
May 15: Sandbanks and North Beach Provincial Park are open on a limited basis. At this time, recreational activities are limited to walking, hiking, biking and birdwatching. All buildings and facilities including washrooms, water taps, campgrounds, backcountry campsites, roofed accommodations, playgrounds, and beaches continue to be closed.
