It's not your job to pinpoint the cause of the problem, only to point it out and tell them about it. VACATION FINALLY
After over a year of being home and going no where. Were off to northern Maine for a week of fishing and atv'ing. Our first time last night eating IN a restaurant in over a year certainly seemed odd. As far as greaseless goes, Polaris has always been hit or miss on the grease fittings but seem to have done away with them now. Some older models have them, some don't and some are mixed. SURGING AT LOW STEADY SPEED Checked all the wires for every sensor for continuity from the connector all the way to the ECM input. Replaced the spark plug. Replaced the air Temp sensor. I have bench tested the injector and it fires fine. Checked the fuel pressure and it is steady at 40psi. I have throughly checked for wire chafgin/breakage. Toxic-21. The new models have not been out long enough to gauge the “improvements”. And although the new models are nice with the added comforts and accessories. If you want a solid unit the 2006-2008 (2009 as well) XP’s are probably some of the best, minus a couple ofelectrical issues.

As far as greaseless goes, Polaris has always been hit or miss on the grease fittings but seem to have done away with them now. Some older models have them, some don't and some are mixed. My wild guess as to the cause, maybe excess clearance between the ring and pinion in POLARIS RANGER NORTHSTAR VS CAN AM DEFENDER LIMITED? I am interested in hearing from people that have experience with both the Polaris Northstar and the Defender Limited. In 2019 I bought a 2020 Ranger Northstar edition. 2021 1000XP TIRE AND WHEEL SIZE Just bought a 2021 Ranger 1000xp burgundy metallic. Upgrading from a 2004 ranger. Wow what a difference! Was wanting to put some aftermarket wheels and tires on. The 800 has hydraulic self adjusting lifters so there is no manual adjustment. The oil pressure relief valve on the 800 sometimes sticks in either the open position or closed position. Open means no oil pressure and the lifters retract. Closed means too much oil pressure and the lifters pump up and kill the compression and the motor dies.CHANGING COOLANT...
There is a petcock on the radiator. Look on the backside of it, on the right (passenger) side of the machine. My '06 has it and I'm sure your '07 is the same. I'd say that draining the radiator, then removing the lower hose at the water pump, then removing the upper hose at the t-stat housing is about as much as you will "practically" get drained out of it. 570 RANGER OIL CAPACITY Jskrzywo. Hello all, new member here. I have a question maybe you could help me with. I've changed oil in my 2016 570efi midsize ranger twice now and have put the recommended 2 quarts in each time, however according to the dipstick it is way overfilled. I had to drain about 3/4 quart to get it down even close to the required level on thedipstick.

TPS Adjustment procedure Short Version..adjusting the idle voltage (1) Find the yellow wire leading to the TPS and carefully pierce the insullation with the positive lead of your multimeter (make sure that you seal that bare spot when finished). If you want to do it "right" and not pierce the wire insullation, you can buy the Polaris TPS adjustment harness (Polaris part # 2201519-A), which EXPECTED LIFESPAN OF THE FULLSIZE RANGER POS POLARIS. Worn out at 7k miles and or 500 hours is a joke!! If that were the case I think they would be out of business. With the cost of these machines being so close to a basic car I would expect the quality of them as well as the life expectancy to SIDE MIRRORS FOR NORTHSTAR EDITION Just follow the instructions on the video, pretty straight forward. The visibility on either side is much better than I could have expected. adjust fully, up, down, in or out. Toxic-21. The new models have not been out long enough to gauge the “improvements”. And although the new models are nice with the added comforts and accessories. If you want a solid unit the 2006-2008 (2009 as well) XP’s are probably some of the best, minus a couple ofelectrical issues.

POLARIS RANGER DIFFERENCES The 800 mid size is 58" wide. The 800 and 900 full size is 60" wide. The mid size units are all single a arm strut front suspensions. The 800 and 900 full size units are dual arm front suspension. The crews come in the 500 mid size and the 800 full size. The 05' to 09' XPs are 700s. The 05' to 09' 4X4s are 500s. The XPs became 800s in 2010. HIGH IDLE AND HARD TO SHIFT It started idling rough and high and very hard to shift. I replaced the TPS harness with no change. I took it to the dealer, TWICE, and he could find nothing wrong. It does not through a code. The dealer suggested replacing the throttle body to the tune of $500.00. For now, I have to turn it off, shift gears, then re-crank it.WON'T ENGAGE IN 4X4

In addition to the comments already stated, I view the kind of miles as well because it really can tell you plenty about the ride, i.e., hard life. The 800 is a strong unit and Polaris no longer makes that model. A criticism of the 800 is hot seat, but it can be overcome through some low dollars efforts, i.e., heat shield and small fan to push it away-been there done that. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 570 AND 570 FULL SIZE? The full size body and seat are wider by about 4 inches than the mid. The wheelbase is 6 inches longer than the mid and it is 4 inches longer overall. It payload capacity is 1500 pounds compared to the mids 1000 pounds. The full size width is only 2 inches wider because the widest part is the body. My wild guess as to the cause, maybe excess clearance between the ring and pinion in EXPECTED LIFESPAN OF THE FULLSIZE RANGER POS POLARIS. Worn out at 7k miles and or 500 hours is a joke!! If that were the case I think they would be out of business. With the cost of these machines being so close to a basic car I would expect the quality of them as well as the life expectancy toTPS ADJUSTMENT
TPS Adjustment procedure Short Version..adjusting the idle voltage (1) Find the yellow wire leading to the TPS and carefully pierce the insullation with the positive lead of your multimeter (make sure that you seal that bare spot when finished). If you want to do it "right" and not pierce the wire insullation, you can buy the Polaris TPS adjustment harness (Polaris part # 2201519-A), which SIDE MIRRORS FOR NORTHSTAR EDITION Just follow the instructions on the video, pretty straight forward. The visibility on either side is much better than I could have expected. adjust fully, up, down, in or out. If it's a 700, your ECM may be bad. Several of the '06 XP's (and a few '05's) have had the ECM go bad and the fan not coming on is one of the symptoms. But first you should check to make sure the thermistor (essentially the temp' sensor) is working. Unplug the two wire harness from the switch and the fan should default to2013 800 WONT START

POLARIS RANGER DIFFERENCES The 800 mid size is 58" wide. The 800 and 900 full size is 60" wide. The mid size units are all single a arm strut front suspensions. The 800 and 900 full size units are dual arm front suspension. The crews come in the 500 mid size and the 800 full size. The 05' to 09' XPs are 700s. The 05' to 09' 4X4s are 500s. The XPs became 800s in 2010. HIGH IDLE AND HARD TO SHIFT It started idling rough and high and very hard to shift. I replaced the TPS harness with no change. I took it to the dealer, TWICE, and he could find nothing wrong. It does not through a code. The dealer suggested replacing the throttle body to the tune of $500.00. It payload capacity is 1500 pounds compared to the mids 1000 pounds. The full size width is only 2 inches wider because the widest part is the body.
