GREENBERG FAMILY INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: 2021 POLIN Museum is pleased to announce internship opportunities at POLIN Museum. The Foundation for the Preservation of the History of the Jewish People in the Pale of Settlement is supporting two annual internships over a five year period, that began in 2017. THE NISSENBAUM FAMILY FOUNDATION The Nissenbaum Family Foundation was founded in 1983 with the aim of rescuing testimonies and Jewish heritage in Poland – the first foundation to be established in Poland since the Second World War. For years its activity concentrated on the restoration and protection of Jewish cemeteries as well as the commemoration of sites of Jewish struggle and martyrdom within the present-day borders of WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING AND THE ROLE OF CIVIL RESISTANCE On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and forthcoming publication of "Jews against Nazi Germany During World War II", eminent Holocaust scholars will discuss the significance of civilian resistance in the ghetto before and during the April 1943 uprising, both civil disobedience and the participation of unarmed fighters in the uprising. 85TH ANNIVERSARY OF MARSHALL JÓZEF PIŁSUDSKI’S PASSING Marshall Józef Piłsudski passed away 85 years ago, on 12 May 1935. The Foundation for the Preservation of the History of the Jewish People in the Pale of Settlement is supporting two annual internships over a five year period, that began in 2017. THE NISSENBAUM FAMILY FOUNDATION The Nissenbaum Family Foundation was founded in 1983 with the aim of rescuing testimonies and Jewish heritage in Poland – the first foundation to be established in Poland since the Second World War.
