__ __ How do I connect my mobile phone to Phone.com? The easiest way to connect your mobile phone to your new Phone.com account is to download the mobile app for Android or iOS to yourphone.
__ __ Using the Phone.com Mobile App Once you’ve downloaded the app, enter your Phone.com phone number, your extension and your voicemail password, which you can find stored in your Phone.com voicemail settings. Our mobile app lets you place calls through Phone.com using your cell phone’s mobile connection. If you are on either WiFi or a mobile data connection, you can also access your Phone.com address book, call logs, inbox, conference calling and SMS texting functions. _USING THE PHONE.COM MOBILE APP_ To connect, you will need to enter your Phone.com phone number, your extension and your voicemail password, which is stored in your Phone.com voicemail settings. Using our mobile app lets you place calls through Phone.com using your cell phone’s mobile connection. When you first launch the mobile app, you will be prompted to enter details for your Phone.com account, including your mobile phone number, your Phone.com phone number and your voicemail password. This allows you to receive and make calls using your Phone.com account on your mobile phone. The setup procedure will differ slightly depending on your based on your device’s operating system and the version of the app you are using. _ENABLING VOIP ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE_ Our iPhone app delivers true VoIP calling. To enable this feature in your account settings: * Mouse over Configure and click Add a User/Extension. * Click Mobile Extension and Add Mobile Extension. * Click Confirm Order. * Make a note of your extension number, and your voicemail passwordfor that extension.
Note: If you want to make an existing extension a mobile extension, you will need to contact Customer Service to do this. Once you’ve created this extension, go to the settings in your Phone.com iPhone app to enable VoIP calling.* Tap Cell/VoIP.
* Slide to enable Allow VoIP Calls. __ __ I just signed up, how do I start receiving phone calls? Start getting calls on your Phone.com service—it’s as easy as adding an extension and connecting your phone number to thatextension.
When you add an extension, you can choose to add a phone, softphone or virtual extension. If all you want to do is receive calls on your cell phone, then add a virtual extension. Once you are in the settings for that new extension (found in your account by going to _Configure_, then _Manage Users and Extensions_), you can set voicemail and notification settings, as well as call handling rules to forward calls to your mobile phone. You are now ready to receive calls at your Phone.com number. Make sure to do a test call to your number from another phone to make sure you have set up your extension and number correctly. Thankfully there are many options for setting up your Phone.com account. We recommend figuring out exactly what you need your system to do and how you’d like calls to be directed. Once you have a plan, you can set up the greetings, extensions, menus, queues and other phone numbers that you need to set up. __ __ How do I forward my calls to my Phone.com number? Forwarding calls that come in to your Phone.com number is the first action you need to perform when setting up your account. Calls to your number can be routed to a number of extension types, which you create, including: * Your mobile phone or an IP desk phone * Your communicator softphone (phone software installed on yourcomputer)
* Your business menu or voicemail Regardless of where you forward your number, the actions you take will be similar for each process. Forwarding Your Number * Mouse over Configure and select Manage Numbers. * Select Edit for the number you want to forward. * For Number Action, click Edit. * Change Select Operation to Forward Call. * Enter the phone number or extension that you want calls forwarded to. You can also set additional ring options like ring duration andhold music.
