Lockdown has been a terrible experience, but some good has come out of it, and in Pennyblackmusic's case it is a new website. When our webmaster Richard Banks was unable to go home and meet up with his family over Christmas, he decided to start VARIOUS - RIDING THE ROCK MACHINE: BRITISH SEVENTIES It’s remarkable how much energy was packed into a 2:35 minute package. ‘I’m Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)’ is, of course, a Moody Blues staple. The measured percussion on the intro. lies in sharp contrast to the fast-paced vocal performance. This is a richly produced effort, packed with vivacious horns and lush vocallayers.
