Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, PEAS has been working hard to continue supporting our students, parents and staff, as well as working with the Ministries of Education in Uganda and Zambia to help them respond to this crisis. PEAS is committed to providing access to education for secondarystudents

Our mission: To expand access to sustainably delivered, quality secondary education across Africa. Some key stats on our progress to date are below: Access. Girls make up 55% of our students in Zambia and 51% in Uganda, improving gender equity in education. PEAS schools admit 1.5x as many of the poorest students as do government schools inRADIO PROGRAMME
Radio. Radio Programme. What PEAS is doing. PEAS is airing secondary-level radio lessons in both Uganda and Zambia to provide access to quality education to as many children as possible during school lockdown. Many young people do not have access to internet or television, and radio provides a more accessible option for manyfamilies.

Laura Brown has been PEAS CEO since June 2018. She joined the PEAS team in Uganda as an education specialist in 2010 when the organisation was in its early stages. A key player in PEAS’ rapid growth over the last decade, Laura has been involved in all aspects of the organisation’s work from school level teacher training and community engagement, overseeing the expansion of PEAS to ZambiaDAVID SITONDO
David Sitondo joined PEAS as the Education Manager in 2018. In this role, he oversees the implementation of the PEAS education model and ensures quality education is delivered across the PEAS Zambia network. David works closely with the school leadership team to develop education programmes that empower our students by teaching them theskills
