Eggless Saffron Thandai Cream Cake (Suji Cake)- Happy Holi. This cake turned out more special than I imagined. The textures and flavours all came together in perfect harmony, and the dense moist cake literally screams holi. Thandai mix in the filling flavoured the cake beautifully, and the sprinkle on top gave it added texture andflavour.
{BAKING} OTTOLENGHI'S INDIVIDUAL CHERRY & PLUM CLAFOUTIS Clafoutis, sometimes in Anglophone countries spelled clafouti, is a baked French dessert of black cherries arranged in a buttered dish and covered with a thick flan-like batter. The clafoutis is dusted with powdered sugar and served lukewarm. A traditional Limousin clafoutis contains pits of the cherries. According to baking purists, the pits release a wonderful flavor when the dish is cooked. SINGLE CREAM ARCHIVES Deep, smooth, chocolaty & delicious. JAMUN/ WILD INDIAN JAVA PLUM MOUSSE SIMPLE SUMMER Taste for sweetness. Strain over the gelatin mix, and gently fold in. Reserve 1/2 cup and pour the rest into stem glasses. Stir about 1 tbsp of the reserved jamun pulp into the 1/ 2 cup reserved mousse, and top each glass. Leave to set in fridge. Method: Make the Pastry Dough. Place the sifted flour into a large bowl. Add the dry yeast, and mix it in. Add the sour cream, and thesoftened butter.
BAKING| ARMENIAN NUTMEG WALNUT CAKE THE PERFECT ONE! Method: Preheat the oven to 180C. Lightly grease an 8″ springform tin {or line}. I used a dessert ring and lined it with foil. Mix the baking soda into the milk and set it aside. Place the flour, 50gm walnuts and baking powder in the bowl of your processor and pulse until the walnut is ground {4-5 times} EGGLESS ALMOND MANGO PROTEIN CAKE WITH A WHIPPED MANGO Whisk in melted, cool ghee, milk and vanilla extract. Gently stir in the dry mix in 4-5 lots, mixing well each time. Transfer to the lined 8" baking tin with a 3" ring insert. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until tester comes out clean. Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then gently turn out onto rack, and cool completely. TIRAMOUSSE CHEESECAKE GUARANTEED NO BAKE DELICIOUSNESS! Simmer over low heat until bubbles begin to appear around the edges, stirring constantly. Take off heat and stir in the gelatin mix, Kahlua if using and dark chocolate chips. Whisk well to mix, cool for about 30 minutes, then pour over the chilled biscuit crust, evening outgently.

There’s nothing to it.” Maria Olivas Have finally found the time to post this lovely strawberry yogurt panna cotta which I made when my blogger friend Nachiketa was visiting. She came in ALICE MEDRICH ARCHIVES Eggless Saffron Thandai Cream Cake, a cake that turned out more special than I imagined. The textures and flavours all came together in perfect harmony, and this dense moist cake literally screams holi. STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY PISTACHIO CRUMBLE... HAVE BERRIES First make the crumble topping: Mix flour and sugar with a spoon in a dry bowl. Put in cold butter cut into pieces and work with finger tips to make a breadcrumbs like texture. Now toss in the oats and nuts lightly with a spoon. BAKING | LAVENDER CHIFFON CAKE WITH WHIPPED LEMON CURD Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line the bottoms of two 20cm (8in) round cake pans with baking paper; do not grease. Place 1 cup of the sugar in a food processor, add the lavender buds and process. Sift into a large bowl, discarding the excess lavender. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, oil and water. Set aside. BAKING | ARMENIAN NAZOOK 2 WAYS SWEET AND SAVOURY WITH Wash. 1-2 tsp low fat cream or yogurt {or an egg yolk, or 1 whole egg} Dried herbs, sea salt, vanilla sugar, icing sugar etc for topping. Method: Make the Pastry Dough. Place the sifted flour into a large bowl. Add the dry yeast, and mix it in. Add the sour cream, and thesoftened butter.
BAKING| ARMENIAN NUTMEG WALNUT CAKE THE PERFECT ONE! Method: Preheat the oven to 180C. Lightly grease an 8″ springform tin {or line}. I used a dessert ring and lined it with foil. Mix the baking soda into the milk and set it aside. Place the flour, 50gm walnuts and baking powder in the bowl of your processor and pulse until the walnut is ground {4-5 times} TIRAMOUSSE CHEESECAKE GUARANTEED NO BAKE DELICIOUSNESS! Simmer over low heat until bubbles begin to appear around the edges, stirring constantly. Take off heat and stir in the gelatin mix, Kahlua if using and dark chocolate chips. Whisk well to mix, cool for about 30 minutes, then pour over the chilled biscuit crust, evening outgently.
EGGLESS ALMOND MANGO PROTEIN CAKE WITH A WHIPPED MANGO Whisk in melted, cool ghee, milk and vanilla extract. Gently stir in the dry mix in 4-5 lots, mixing well each time. Transfer to the lined 8" baking tin with a 3" ring insert. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until tester comes out clean. Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then gently turn out onto rack, and cool completely. POVITICA - CROATIAN SWEET WALNUT CHOCOLATE BREAD Povitica is traditional Eastern European dessert bread served during the holiday season.This walnut version, a Croatian Walnut Bread, is rolled yeast bread made of sweet dough slathered generously with a delicious walnut/chocolate/vanilla filling.
