When I was 3, my mom heard me walking around the house, shouting “Mommy! mommy?” And of course, she was like, “Yes, sweetie?” And me, three years old, black soulless eyes, I turn to her and say, “No. My other mommy.” Then I proceed to tell her about how this isn’t my real life, that I miss my real family but that they had all been shot and murdered. I told her where I had personally been shot, my family’s name, and the city we lived in. Asked her how I could go back to my real life. She says she has no clue where I would have gotten that shit from, that at age 3 I had never been exposed to like violent films or news or anything like that, so she was understandably… freaked. Honestly it’s a miracle she did not ditch me then and there, like I was a real life horror movie child. So YEAH then I grew up and wrote Reprise!
