ENERGIZED KENNETT CLOSES IN FOURTH QUARTER TO TOP NEWTOWN SQUARE >> Sam Forte and the rest of Kennett lacrosse stood in a huddle with 12 minutes left to determine if their season would continue. The Blue Demons trailed Wissahickon heading into the fourth quarter of their PIAA Class 3A boys lacrosse quarterfinal on Saturday, but the words coming from the huddle were confident SHANAHAN TROUNCES LAKE LEHMAN TO ADVANCE TO STATE Shanahan won the first six face offs, scored the first seven goals and went on to trounce the Knights 17-4 to advance to the PIAA 2A Quarterfinals next Saturday. Up next is District 3 runner-up Twin Valley, who throttled its first round foe 18-1. Now 17-3 overall, the Eagles have won 14 in a row, and are just three victories from a statetitle.
