Sections 11, 25, 28 and 29 of the Protection of Women (Criminal Laws Amendment) Act, 2006 have been struck down by the Federal Shariat Court. The Federal Government has been given until June 22, 2011 to bring these sections into conformance as determined by the court until which point they remain operative.
