WOODINGFORD LODGE ACCEPTING PATIENTS WAITING FOR LONG-TERM CARE Woodingford's Woodstock site is preparing to accept up to eight temporary long-term care residents this week in an agreement with Woodstock Hospital. These are patients who are awaiting admission into long-term care and are only occupying hospital beds because there are no long-term care beds available to them at the moment. More ADDRESSING QUESTIONS ABOUT QUESTIONS ABOUT BAG TAGS Oxford County acknowledges that people have questions and concerns about our continued requirement for waste bag tags. Based on this feedback, we are reviewing the ongoing requirement for bag tags. If you are having challenges getting bag tags, please contact us directly at customerservice@oxfordcounty.ca or call 1-800-755-0394. NEW GARBAGE AND RECYCLING CHANGES COMING MAY 4 Beginning May 4, 2020, Oxford County will begin working with a new waste management contractor to collect residential curbside garbage and recycling. We have finalized changes to new collection routes, as well as minor changes to what can and cannot be placed in the blue box under the new program. News release.
COUNTY COUNCIL APPOINTS INTERIM CAO Council appointed Larry McCabe as interim chief administrative officer on April 8. He will fill the position until a permanent CAO is recruited in the coming months. More CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR ACCESSIBILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE Oxford County is looking for citizen volunteers to join the Accessibility Advisory Committee for a term that runs until 2022. The Accessibility Advisory Committee currently has two vacancies for individuals with a commitment and passion for creating a more accessible community. News release.
