geen evenementen gevonden De Nationale Sportherdenking NATIONALE SPORTHERDENKING Hoop, symboliek en eerbetoon: jaarlijkse ceremonie en kranslegging om de sporters te herdenken die de oorlog niet overleefden. De jaarlijkse Nationale Sportherdenking bij het Olympisch Stadion ziet er dit jaar door de coronamaatregelen anders uit. Het is niet de herdenking die we samen beleven, maar toch willen we er ook dit jaar een betekenisvolle en gedenkwaardige editie van maken. Nico Scheepmaker Beker NOMINATIE NICO SCHEEPMAKER BEKER 2019 BEKEND! De nominaties voor de Nico Scheepmaker Beker, de prijs voor het beste sportboek van het jaar 2019, zijn vanmiddag bekendgemaakt in het radioprogramma De Nieuws BV op NPO Radio1. Presentatoren Roelof de Vries en Dolf Jansen gingen in gesprek met juryvoorzitter David Endt en jurylid Rivkah op het Veld die te vijf genomineerde titels toelichten. De 5-koppige jury van de Nico Scheepmaker Beker, bestaat naast bovengenoemde leden uit Wilfred van Buuren (sporthistoricus), Gert-Jan van Tilborg (boekhandel Donner) en Marie-José Kleef (journalist), selecteerde de volgende titels uit de 47 ingezonden boeken (in willekeurige volgorde): - Buiten de lijnen. Frank Heinen (Das Mag) - Briek! De laatste flandrien. Herman Chevrolet (De Arbeiderspers) - Johan Cruijff. Auke Kok (Hollands Diep) - Paul Dogger. Peter Zantingh (Uitgeverij het Spectrum) - Abdi Nageeye - Atleet zonder grenzen. André van Kats (Uitgeverij Lucht) De winnaar van de verkiezing van het beste sportboek wordt medio mei bekendgemaakt. Een definitieve datum daarvoor is nog niet bekend maar uiteraard houden wij u daarvan op de hoogte. De Nico Scheepmaker Beker is de juryprijs voor het beste sportboek van het jaar. De prijs is vernoemd naar (sport)journalist Nico Scheepmaker (1930-1990), die vanaf 1957 schreef over sport. Met zijn aanpak, waarbij hij oog had voor details die anderen onbesproken lieten, heeft hij de Nederlandse sportjournalistiek veranderd. Hij schreef niet alleen sportboeken maar was ook columnist en dichter.

persoon.

Met ruim 1.200.000 bezoekers per jaar is het Olympisch Stadion sinds de renovatie met recht het icoon van de sport. HET OLYMPISCH STADION 20 JAAR NA DE FEESTELIJKE HEROPENING Het is op woensdag 13 mei 20 jaar geleden dat het geheel gerenoveerde Olympisch Stadion werd geopend door kroonprins Willem Alexander. De open dag die zou volgen op de officiële opening werd vanwege de vuurwerkramp in Enschede afgelast.Het voortbestaan van het Olympisch Stadion is niet vanzelfsprekend geweest. Er ging een jarenlange strijd aan vooraf maar toen het pleit was beslecht toverde renovatie-architect André van Stigt een kroonjuweel onder het verwaarloosde oude stadion vandaan.

VANWEGE HET CORONAVIRUS VINDEN ER GEEN EVENEMENTEN PLAATS IN HET OLYMPISCH STADION TOT 1 JUNI Door de ontwikkelingen rondom het Coronavirus leven we in een roerige tijd. Het raakt ons allemaal. Deze periode staat voor velen in het teken van het opnieuw inrichten van het dagelijks leven. Tegelijkertijd staan ons allerlei uitdagingen te wachten. Helaas kunnen grote- en kleinschalige evenementen in ieder geval tot 1 juni geen doorgang meer vinden.

U BLIJFT (NA 1 JUNI) VAN HARTE WELKOM IN HET OLYMPISCH STADION Door de ontwikkelingen rondom het coronavirus leven we in een roerige tijd. Het raakt ons allemaal. Deze periode staat voor velen in het teken van het opnieuw inrichten van het dagelijks leven. Tegelijkertijd staan ons allerlei uitdagingen te wachten. Helaas kunnen grote- en kleinschalige evenementen in ieder geval tot 1 juni geen doorgang meer vinden. Wat daarna gebeurt is nog onduidelijk. Het is een tijd van aanpassen, veranderen en innoveren.
